JULIANA REGO THERAPIES
ADVANCED MASSAGE + FACIAL THERAPY
TMJ MASSAGE
INTRAORAL / BUCCAL MASSAGE
Jaw, facial and associated tension
Tension in the jaw can be felt far beyond the jaw itself. Clenching, grinding, stress and everyday tension can contribute to discomfort through the jaw, face, temples, neck and shoulders.
You don't need to have a diagnosed TMJ disorder to benefit from focused work in these areas.
Soothe + Release is a personalised massage treatment designed to help ease muscular tension around the jaw and face, while creating space to relax and reset.
Intraoral / buccal massage can be incorporated where appropriate and with your consent, providing targeted access to muscles inside and around the mouth that can be difficult to reach externally.
Who May Benefit From TMJ Massage?
This treatment may be suitable if you experience:

A TREATMENT TAILORED TO YOU
Your treatment isn't predetermined.
Your appointment begins with a consultation to understand what's been happening, what you'd like help with and any relevant health information. Where appropriate, assessment and movement observations may also help guide the treatment.
Your approach is then adapted to your presentation and goals on the day.
Depending on what you need, your treatment may include:
-
External jaw and facial massage
-
Intraoral / buccal massage
-
Neck and shoulder massage
-
Targeted muscular and myofascial techniques
-
Gentle jaw mobility work
-
Relaxation-focused massage
Not every technique is necessary for every person. The aim is to use the most appropriate combination for you on the day.
WHY WORK BEYOND THE JAW?
The muscles of the jaw, face, neck and shoulders work closely together. Tension in one area can influence how another feels, which is why treatment may extend beyond the jaw itself.
Your session may therefore include work through the face, jaw, neck and shoulders, depending on your presentation.
This broader approach allows the treatment to remain personalised rather than focusing on the jaw in isolation.
INTRAORAL / BUCCAL MASSAGE
Intraoral massage works with muscles inside the mouth as well as the surrounding facial structures. It can provide a more targeted approach to areas that aren't always accessible through external massage alone.
It can be particularly enjoyable for people who carry a lot of tension through the jaw and face, and it can also simply be chosen as part of a deeply relaxing facial massage experience.
Intraoral work is only carried out where appropriate and with your informed consent.
HOW MANY SESSIONS MIGHT I NEED?
Everyone responds differently to treatment.
For some people, a single session may provide useful relief and a greater sense of ease. Where ongoing support is indicated, a course of approximately 3–6 sessions may be recommended, depending on your presentation, progress and response to treatment.
This isn't a fixed programme. Your treatment plan can be reviewed as you progress, with the aim of providing the appropriate level of support rather than continuing treatment unnecessarily.
