THE TREATMENT
What Restorative Massage involves

THE PROCESS
What happens at your appointment
Every session follows the same considered process, whether it is your first visit or a regular maintenance appointment.
1
Consultation form (before you arrive)
After booking, you'll receive a link to an online consultation form. This is mandatory and must be submitted at least 48 hours before your appointment. It allows your session to be safely and specifically adapted to you.
2
In-person consultation
Your session begins with an in-person consultation to discuss how you are feeling and what you need that day. Follow-up appointments have a shorter check-in unless your health or circumstances have changed.
3
Your treatment
Technique, pressure, and product selection are all adapted to your needs on the day. The session is paced to support genuine nervous system regulation, with particular attention to your areas of specific tension.
4
Aftercare and next steps
Aftercare is discussed before you leave. You'll also receive a follow-up email within 24 hours with full aftercare guidance for reference, and a feedback form the following day.

COMMON QUESTIONS
FAQs
How is the restorative massage different from a standard relaxation massage?
Restorative Massage at JULIANA REGO Therapies begins with a thorough consultation and is adapted specifically to your presentation on the day. It uses a blend of therapeutic and flowing, relaxation techniques with clear intention around nervous system regulation, not a generic effleurage sequence. Technique, pressure, and products are all adjusted in real time.
Do I need a health condition to book a restorative massage?
Not at all. This treatment is suitable for anyone carrying general tension, stress, fatigue, or disrupted sleep, even without a specific diagnosis or condition. If you are living with chronic pain or a persistent musculoskeletal condition, the Advanced Clinical Massage programme may be a more appropriate starting point.
Can I book this during pregnancy?
No. If you are pregnant, please book the Nurturing Pregnancy Massage, which uses safe positioning and specialist techniques adapted for pregnancy from the second trimester onwards through the postnatal period (1 year post partum).
How often should I book?
For general wellbeing and stress management, monthly sessions work well for most clients. During particularly demanding periods, more frequent sessions may be beneficial. Personalised recommendations are made at the end of your session.
Is aromatherapy oil always used?
A pre-blended aromatherapy oil may be incorporated where appropriate, based on your consultation and any contraindications. Sensitivities or preferences are discussed before treatment begins.
