1 | BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT —

-
If you test positive for Covid-19, have a high temperature/fever, or have cold/flu symptoms, please do not book a treatment until you are well.
-
Female Clients: It is advised to avoid booking a massage treatment 2 days before the start of their period and for the duration of the period, as the treatment can add further strain on the body.
-
After you have booked your appointment, you will be emailed the Consultation Form to complete online before your scheduled appointment.
-
The Consultation Form is a mandatory requirement and must be submitted at least 48 hours before your appointment to assess your suitability for a body massage or aromatherapy massage treatment.

2 | ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT —

-
Please arrive at your appointment no earlier than the scheduled appointment time.
-
Late attendance (up to 10 minutes late) will result in a reduced treatment time.
-
Attend your appointment on your own, if possible.
-
Carry a bottle of water with you to your appointment.
-
It is advised to refrain from eating at least 1 hour before your scheduled appointment and to have a light snack or salad after your treatment.
-
It is advised to refrain from any form of exercise at least 3 hours before your scheduled appointment and to avoid any type of exercise for 24 hours after your treatment.
-
Female Clients: Please attend your appointment without makeup. It’s also highly likely that you might get oil in your hair during your treatment, so please don’t worry about washing your hair before your appointment.
-
It is advised to shower before your appointment and to avoid taking a shower for 24 hours after your treatment. The reasons for this are:
-
Massage therapy increases blood flow, which is also the same when taking a hot shower/bath. Combining the two could make you faint or dizzy.
-
The essential oils used in your aromatherapy treatment will be better absorbed into your system post-treatment, allowing the therapeutic properties of the essential oils to do their healing work. This will enable you to enjoy the full benefits of the treatment for a few days after your treatment.

3 | DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT —

-
Your session will start with your initial consultation, during which I’ll ask you some questions based on the responses on your 'Consultation Form'.
-
All new clients have to go through an in-depth and thorough consultation which will cover medical history, general wellbeing & lifestyle habits that will give me a better understanding of your current state of health, enabling me to assess your requirements and put together your treatment plan, where necessary.
-
Follow-up sessions will include a shorter consultation to assess your progress and adjust the treatment if necessary and to take into account any new health conditions that may arise.
-
I'll also discuss the contraindications with you, if any. This will also give you the opportunity to ask me any questions or raise any concerns you may have about the treatment.
-
If at any point during your treatment your body reacts to the treatment or you start to feel uncomfortable or unwell, either you or I can stop the treatment.
-
After the treatment, I’ll go over the ‘After Care’ advice with you so that you get optimal benefit from the treatment.

4 | NOTE —

-
Please be advised that if I have any concerns about carrying out an aromatherapy massage or body massage treatment on the day, due to any pre-existing or new medical conditions (especially in the case of new clients with whom I haven't yet had an initial consultation), the following outcomes are possible and should be expected:
-
I’ll adjust your treatment on the day to ensure it is safe for you or;
-
I’ll provide you with a letter asking you to get GP consent - which means I'll have to reschedule your appointment(s) or;
-
I might have to cancel your session(s) entirely, if an aromatherapy massage or body massage treatment is totally contraindicated.
